Hali overrated?

Just a few years ago, Tyrese Haliburton was labeled a rising star—part of a lightning-fast backcourt with De’Aaron Fox in Sacramento. But the fit didn’t last. Two ball-dominant guards: one a blur with downhill speed, the other a tactician with a playmaking touch we hadn’t seen since Steve Nash.

Sacramento chose their direction. And Haliburton? He didn’t just adapt—he evolved.

Over the past two seasons, he’s become a legit All-Star. Last year, he was on a 50/40/90 tear with elite playmaking until a hamstring injury slowed him down. This season, he doubled down—more efficient, fewer turnovers than Chris Paul, and still selfless. He’s not out to dominate the ball—he’s out to make everyone around him better.

And in these playoffs? With his team counted out and whispers about him being "overrated" circulating anonymously through the league—he responded. He didn’t just show up; he eliminated a “Greek God” and dismantled the Cavs in five, with the Pacers rallying from 19 down to close out the series.

So now, with a Conference Finals berth on deck and either the Lucky Irish or the Nova squad with their adopted KAT waiting...

Tell me again—who’s overrated now? 😈
