MLB Season '25

the MLB season is heating up.. so how are the standings looking?

in the AL East, the Yankees are running as normal, as we constantly rise when the Judge enters his chambers. the Red Sox are in second, followed by the Blue Jays and their Silver Slugging 2nd generation star in Vlad Jr, with a rough start for the Rays and surprisingly, the Orioles as the Birds sit in the 5th with Rutschman, 1st overall pick Jackson Holliday and their artillery specialist the Gunnar of Henderson vying to improve the standings..

in the AL Central, the Tigers roar to life with their Triple Crown winner Skubal throwing fire and strikeouts as he did last year and the teams putting up runs at a phenomenal rate.. followed by the Guardians of Cleveland, led by their knockout artist on 3rd base, Jose Ramirez. in 3rd we have the Royals, as their superstar shortstop Bobby Witt Jr vies to restore Kansas City on their royal post. in 4th we have the Minnesota Twins, led by speedster Byron Buxton..

out in the AL West, the Mariners lead their division as the sea guardians of Seattle have Cal Raleigh raking home runs in opposite fields. in 2nd, we have the Athletics, in a new home, with consistency in hitting from their young shortstop Jacob Wilson. in 3rd we have the southern Astronomers, the Astros with Hunter Brown vying for a top spot in the pitching awards. In 4th we have the Rangers, who attempt to take the Lone Star state from the Astros in hopes of showing who the best team truly is.

out in the NL:
the Metropolitans of New York sit atop the East, with the Phillies led by strong arm Schwarber’s league leading 14 home runs behind them. the Braves, missing their mustachioed ace and their speedy stolen-base king, sit in 3rd while the Nationals sit at 4th..

in the Central Division, the Windy City Maulers roar to life, with the Cardinals flying close behind them, and the Brewers looking to overboil and claim the post from the 3rd place Reds.

things are heating up in the NL West as the Defending Dodgers evade all lower positions, led by their Shogun two way playing generational star Ohtani, their bag clearing Freeman 1st baseman Freddie, their 5 tool superstar shortstop Mookie and their Cy Young vying pitcher Yoshi Yamamoto..

not all is safe in the West, though as the Padres look to father a bye to the Division series 2 games behind the Dodgers of Death with their multi tooled right fielder Tatis, their macho 3rd basemen Machado, batting title winner Arraez and their opposite field home run raking center fielder Merrill..

in 3rd we have the bigger then biggest Giants, followed by the Serpents of the Desert in Arizona..

unfortunately.. some teams have a similar fate to their previous seasons. we have the Angels of Anaheim, who have fallen from their former glory days and sit upon the lowest ranking in the AL West, reminiscent of the days when they retained possession of their halo. we have the White Sox, whose clean, unstained appearance has fans wondering if they’ll ever dig down, ditch the clean and scuff up their uniforms trying to rally their way back into the playoffs out in the AL Central Division.. and out in Colorado, we have a team who’s start is as Rocky as the name .. with an all-time abysmal start out west that will have fans putting their face in their hands trying to avoid watching the bloodbath that is a Rockies game. the Pirates, off to a slow start, aim to do what Pirates do: steal like the scurvy thieves before them and take over the NL Central but they’re off to a less then ideal start.. and the Marlins showcase their endangered wildlife status as they sit on their post with the worst record in the NL East.

Will the Dodgers restore their dynasty, or will a new challenger rise from the ashes of last season’s heartbreak? With rosters reshaped, narratives shifting, and the postseason battle already brewing—one thing’s for sure:

Baseball’s back, and it’s personal.

Find out next time… on the MLB.
